A Bard, Great! We haven't had a Bard PC in a while. Start him at 2nd Level. I will put together a history for the character, if there are any main themes you would like your character to have let me know and I will roll them into your personal history.
I would be remiss in not telling you that we accept a couple of Variant Bard Classes that can be found here Hypertext D20 Variant Bards
You are allowed to use up to 80 ability points for a new character, I only see 78 alloted. Also be aware that we do not penalize skill point buy for cross class skills. The way I figure it if a fighter wants to pick locks he can learn it and spend his few skill points on it.
I did roll you Social Standing and Inheretence rolls of 1d100. I won't tell you the result, you can go with my roll or yours. You must use the secure dice roller for these two rolls.
You will likely be traveling with a Welsh Horse Scout and a Aquitanian(Roman) Legionaire. You are set to be thrust in the middle of a Schism in the Church of the West(catholic church). You worship St Ogma who is part of what is called the Celtic Rite of the Church, the Welshman is also a member of the Celtic Rite worshiping Epona the Patron Saint of Horses, the Legionaire I am not sure about at this time.
I will try and post your history tonight.

I don't see a secure roller for this thread, is there another thread to roll the d100's?
Fixed the abilities.

That's kind of funny that we both rolled a 16 on social standing and I thinkn we both rolled in the same economic range too. A shame I had been rolling quite well for characters. The last character I rolled a nobility for. Anyway, if you have burning desire to be from the aristocracy you can take the Feat Nobility. This would change your Social Standing, but not your Economic Standing.

Are you posting the equipment and back story, or do you want me to fill that in? Also, what is my social status/title for the nobility feat? Dang goblins, just had to be captured by them already, oh well.

Jonas was born in Fougères along the Bretagne(Brittany)/Normandy border, in a area known as the Breton Marches. The year was 1259.
Fougères' major monument is a stronghold built atop a granite ledge, which is part of the defence system of the Duchy of Brittany against Frankish and Norman aggression. Fougeres also has one of only three Belfries in Brittany.
There is an important shoemaking industry is also an important glass making industry.
Salt is heavily taxed and scarce since the recession of the Winter Wars when flood waters flooded many Salt Mines. But Breton still has suitable Salt sources which export salt from the Breton regions to the rest of the Western World. Fougeres is a stronghold for "salt smugglers," who would creep along the wall of the city with black market salt, to sell in other regions.
There are many megalithic monuments in the forest of Ferns The first mention of the castle of Ferns towards the end of X century. It was at the time a simple fortification out of wooden located on a rock peak, whose position advantageously dominated the valley of Nançon and the marshes surrounding. Starting from the XII century, the population moved away from bank of Nançon and the city developed more in height, shared in two parishes: Saint-Sulpice for the low city and Saint-Léonard for the high city. The crafts activity developed around the tannery, of the tisserands and the clothiers in the low city.
Bretagne is largely populated by Smallfolk, at least half its total population, with the other half being human, elven and a mix of the two.
Jonas is the fourth son of Sir Hammond Wechsler of The House of Fern, Chamberlain of Fern Castle. The House of Fern was once a well known and wealthy house. But wars, raids and their precarious place between aggressive sides has taxed the coffers of the Noble House.
In 1267 Jonas won entrance to Bard University in Pont du Falx(Falcon's Point) to the north. It was known as the greatest Bard college ever. Bard University was established by Killian Tollbeck the Gaelic Bard, with St Ogma as its Patron Saint. Jonas had grand times in Pont du Falx, learning a great deal until the fall of the Free City in 1276 during the Winter Wars. Jonas escaped the city shortly after the fall and returned home. Upon return Jonas took on the duties as the Herald of Fougeres. He kept this post until 1281 when his father sent him on to Burgundia to seal the final contract on a Salt trade deal.
Jonas was captured by the Half-Orc Slaver Grim Nose. Whereupon he was sold to the Goblin Chieftan Gorthax to work in his mines. Jonas made his escape when he convinced his goblin captures to take him out on a foraging party where he was rescued by Legio XIII Germanicus.
Jonas knows the following songs: The Dwarven Butter Churning Song- normally sang by Dwarven women, it enrages gnomes and halflings The Sacrifice of Dinadain- a Heroic Tragedy Little Irene- a joyous song about Princess Irene of Lorraine Elven Locks- humorous ditty, enrages orcs and goblins A Troll in the Privy- humorous drinking song Tolmon's Trail- Ballad of a Hunter, Inspiring The Half-Orc N Hussy- Raucus drinking tune (you can add some songs of your own if you like)
The current year is late summer 1284.

I was wondering if you would allow Scholar's Touch from theWizards Website. I think it would be very useful in game.

Yes, I think that is an appropriate spell. Consider Jonas to have learned it while at Bard University.
Scholar's Touch Divination Level: Bard 1, cleric 1, sorcerer/wizard 1 Components: V, S, M, F Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Personal Target: One book/round Duration: Concentration up to 1 round/level Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No
With this spell you can touch a book or scroll and absorb the knowledge contained within as if you had just read it. This is equivalent to a solid reading but not deep study -- the character does not gain perfect recall of the information, just whatever he would have gotten from reading it completely once. If you can't read the language of the source, the spell has no effect. This spell cannot be used to prepare spells or to cast magical scrolls, nor does it have any effect when reading a magical book (such as a tome of understanding).
Material Component: A scrap of parchment and a pinch of tinder
Focus: A thin crystal disc.
----------------------------------------------------
I will be moving your character sheet thread to RH Active characters soon.

Based on my available TU and Charge TU/Class, I can only afford to level up in Rogue, Expert, Fighter, Warrior, or Aristocrat right now. Of those choices, Rogue seems best.
Leveling up in Cleric or Bard seems to take a long time to gain the TU.
Also, I have to wait for a break in action before I can use the TU right? So I won't level up until we get to a stop point (Saving game, please wait :)).
*Edit: I am pretty sure the Marshall class is available. Let me know if this is correct. Two levels in it would be awesome! Marshall Class for Another Character
