Jonas would know that the Dwarves Sacred Tablets are said to be forged leaves of mithril that make up their sacred texts, in effect their bible.
The red haired dwarf orders an ale and respounds, You can call me Redharrow
Jonas is sure this is not his real name, but likely a name he uses at least occasionally. He uses it without delay or thought it is comfortable to him.
Redharrow chuckles softly, then eyes Jonas sizing him up. He looks at Jonas wondering if he is a spy or saboteur. Then continues. Jonas I believe you are mostly honest with me, I don't fully know what you are about, but let me tell you what I am about. I am a Dwarf first and foremost. Lets say I don't always follow every holy rune shown me as a babe. But let me make this fully clear to you, let no doubt be left in your mind. I am no black blooded Duergar Traitor. Magnus Cornerstone gave my brothers and I our first new home, the first new Dwarven home in a millenia. When Ballador called the Dwarves away from the human streets and smithies, gathered us and told us to have faith in Magnus Cornerstone we followed because of our brotherhood. This what you ask cannot be done.
If I had the heart and faith of your friend Lyvalel there I would likely split your skull as a spy. But I am not that dwarf either. If you want to know where to get some wulfenite, titanite, perhaps even, with enough time and money some True Silver(mithril), those things can be arranged. But I will not give up information that could lead to the loss of our dwarven home.
Jonas is quickly coming to realize how tightly knit these dwarves are.

Jonas sees that these dwarves do not deal the way humans due. Going straight through nobles costs favors, promises, and money. Going through the underground where they get you a meeting can just cost money, albeit a lot more. Perhaps the dwarves are not as corrupt. Jonas figured that Magnus Cornerstone would be like the king to see, having to go through lots of ambassadors and stuff.
"Huh, that's weird. Usually the creator of a building considers himself below receiving visitors, therefore an intermediary is required to broker a deal to visit or receive the details from underlings of ones work in human royal kingdoms.
I am not a spy! I have made known my intentions plainly as a scholar to see if there was a way to study a place of renown.
If a dwarf where to ask me to go over something that I had made, I would at least have the courtesy of me or an underling to hear him out.
I have asked dwarves previously of this topic, no one seemed to mind. In human lands, it is often not the nobles who know how to get to see each other, but their underlings and others who know what each noble want to receive them.
It is merely how business gets conducted and one is introduced in the human kingdoms.
The dwarven holy warrior wouldn't be traveling with me for a second if he thought that I wanted the dwarves to loss their home. Don't you trust him? Never mind, it is a rhetorical question." Jonas turns to leave.

Rednar says, Lyvalel, Corvinus, and the spearmen, come with us. We will assemble with our miners who will go over the Hunsruck's with you. Look here, we will go straight over the mountains, and put an end to this troll while the Horsemaster and the Songmaster go to talk to the men at Palfrey Pass.
