IC-Jamie has just returned from her captivity in the White Gull Tower in Falcon's Point. She and her companions are somewhere in the marshlands of northern Flanders southwest of Nijmegin. Nijmegin the most hellish place Jamie had gone to just before her capture by the nabassu and subsequent captivity under Gringamore, who strangely enough, didn't actually hurt her much. Now, in this small camp, she sits in a warm bed listening to the rain and wind roaring outside, planning her next moves and explaining what she has done and plans to do with her allies. When Jamie mentions Skaga, she notices that Olorin's brow raises in surprise and some consternation. He doesn't say anything though, just watches her cast her spell. Damilon looks at Carillo, shaking his head a little and Jamie realizes that Damilon has never seen Skaga. She even remembers hearing him and Tybalt joking about her like she was one of Jamie's conjurations. And now, Jamie is sending her a message. Almost immediately Skaga answers back, her voice tense and hoarse, We were coming for you Jamie. Aesa Wavedancer, That's,..troubling. We killed Rakshasa, had image of you. Sailing to Epernay, Chalon. Sending white raven messenger. Skaga's voice gives out as the sending ends. It sounds like she is working hard on some other magic. Jamie wonders if she interrupted Skaga while she was studying the dragon Orb or seeing stone, or whatever people want to call it. Jamie then sends her second message to Jonas and feels it bump! then continue on. That's never happened before and Jamie suspects it might have been some kind of ward or attempted intercept of her message. She does know it got through to Jonas. He doesn't reply though, but he could be busy. With Jonas it's always hard to tell. When she finishes, she sees that Ellory and Larn have slipped back into the tent. Larn is standing near the door, oblivious to the cold and wet. Ellory has climbed into bed next to Jamie and lay down. She is in good spirits, but her eyes have heavy shadows of fatigue and both her wrists are heavily bandaged. Just about everyone looks at Carillo when Jamie asks her question about Belros and Marius. He looks a bit dumbfounded at first, not sure why everyone expects him to know something, Well, um, what we've heard is that Vicar Belros has claimed he is the true Holy Father and taken up the Holy Seat at Ravenna. I don't know who Marius is exactly. I'm guessing he is one of Belros' Aqualonian allies. The Church is now officially divided. That probably has something to do with Lotan's decrees of late. He's getting desperate and running out of allies. Then Jamie interrupts with her outburst about Gringamore, surprising everyone. Damilon laughs at her, and almost tousles her head, then holds himself back, Gringamore's gone from Falcon's Point. Hoarkl wants his head and now so do Duke Leonard and bishop Remus, who are allied with the Dragon. Tybalt and the Hound are still in Falcon's Point. I couldn't carry them with me....they're spying and finding out more information about what's going on there. A hazard-class mage by the name of Heragon has taken over Gringamore's position. He has a number of apprentices and assassins working for him, including Kelmy's and a half elven albino by the name of Lomanar. They are bad news Jamie. Kelmys specializes in poisons, potions and enchantments and Lomanar is as bad they come. Holy Father Lotan has also sent the 5th Command and two regiments of Templars to help them. The 5th Command are trained in tracking, capturing and killing. They dress like other Templars, but their cross emblem is black rather than the normal red. They are unlike anything we have yet faced. They are hear with explicit orders to retake Nijmigen and Schwanburg and capture various undesirables, including yourself, Gavyn Strongbow and few of the other Griffons. Now wouldn't be such a bad time to leave for Chalon. Not that it'll be anymore of a picnic. Everyone is taking that in when Larn speaks up, his voice somewhat distant sounding, like he is only half here, Gringamore will most likely head into the Ardennes and the camps of Anvarin the Ox and Korvir. They both serve him and know the forests as well as anyone. Whether we want him as an ally or not. He will now help us. Gringamore is not one to let any slight go unavenged. Getting kicked out of Falcon's Point is sure to enrage him. If that's really what happened. Gringamore is always plotting, never doing just one thing, but several things at once. It's hard to know his mind. When Jamie mentions going to Chalon, just about everyone except Larn, Udon, and Olorin are keen on going. Ellory and Ogmund and the Songbirds especially. Goshawk looks a bit uncertain, I can contact Aldini or another druid to help out with Lady Revorn. We should consider speaking to Kree Quickshadow and the High Vale Raiders. They work that area and did great service for Lord Alexandre Godarte during the retaking of Clegan Moor. I'm certain they could help with rescuing Olivia and more importantly, could help hide and guard us once we get there. That place is infested with Duchess Celicia's brood and Laimon's experiments, not to mention what mad corruption is going on in Reims under Arch-Bishop Damon and Juhel Revorn. Think of it as a forest version of Nijmegin. --------------- It is late night, early morning, the dawn can't be far off she thinks. Olorin still sits in his chair smoking his pipe, deep in thought. Ellory is slightly snoring next to Jamie, her hand clasped in Jamie's. Carillo is on the other side, sitting in a chair next to the bed. Damilon is standing up looking in Jamie's mirror and scratching his chin. His voice is so low and unexpected, Jamie almost misses hearing Olorin, This business with Skaga and that stone troubles me Jamie. Did you see it? Could you identify it if you saw it again? Did you look into it at all? Jamie senses more than just concern for her in his questions. He is obviously quite troubled by Jamie knowing Skaga and the stone they found in the Dragon's Lair.

Jamie agrees that they will work with Kree Quickshadow and the High Vale Riders. That's the third time that they have been recommended to her and it feels right. Yes. They will Shadow Walk to the outskirts of Chalon and meet with the High Vale Riders. Get and give information, get oriented to who is what and where, find their best safest locations, get and understanding of roads and rivers, set a rendevoux place. Send Kree to retrieve Lady Revorn. Her instinct tells her that this is their best option - things are starting to happen fast and there are a lot of enemies and captives and allies and regulary bystanders to sort out. She grasps onto this possibility and holds tight. She sends Kree Quickshadow a Sending message. Maybe even waking him up. Good morning Kree Quickshadow. Can I meet you? Godarte is my ally. Reply. Tell me where be, in 10 hours time, then come find me there. Red Witch.
And after a quiet pause she does another Sending, this time to Hector, Lotan is sending two special Templar Regiments to Nijmegen and Schwanberg. They seek out Griffons. I recommend you leave. Meet me in Chalon?

What Jamie knows about Chalon. Please correct if wrong.
Chalon - sur Marne is a city in the heart of the Marne River valley. Reims is to the north and west and Troyes is to the south. Epernay is west and slightly north of Chalon and south of Reims. The Marne river flows in a north-south direction along the west side of the city, flows north a little way, then west and passes just south of Epernay. HIGH VALE IS A FORTIFIED MINING AN STONECUTTING TOWN WITH A CURTAIN WALL AND KEEP. IT IS JUST ACROSS THE RIVER AND JUST WEST OF CHALON. IT IS HIGHER IN ELEVATION AND HAS VIEW UP AND DOWN THE MARNE RIVER. IT IS STRATEGICALLY VALUABLE FOR IT'S MINES, QUARRIES, AND LOCATION. ALEXANDRE CURRENTLY HOLDS HIGH VALE. SIR ALFRED NICKERSON IS THE LORD OF HIGH VALE, UNDER ALEXANDER. Godarte has been notified by Rakeesh of the plan and his role to help surround Chalon (post 226891)Neither Godarte or Sir Halgon Sharpe have yet managed to force a crossing to the other side.GODARTE AND HIS FORCES ARE SOUTH OF CHALON IN AND AROUND HIGH VALE. NEITHER GODARTE NOR SIR HALGON SHARPE HAVE YET MANAGED TO FORCE A CROSSING TO THE OTHER SIDE.
Halgon Sharpe, Lord Morwith Trevante, and Lord? Nickerson have their forces to the South of Chalon. Don't really know what High Vale means. Sharpe has been notified by Jamie of the plan to surround Chalon in post 226905, 228233(Already answered, hopefully)SIR HALGON SHAPRE'S FORCES ARE ACROSS THE RIVER, ON THE SOUTH SIDE, FROM EPERNAY. THEY ARE CURRENTLY SCOUTING APPROACHES TO EPERNAY AND REIMS.
Aggelson has talked Aguila into going to Chalon to meet with Vintronus, come to terms, and receive the Book of Satan for his efforts. (post 226505) Sharpe thinks that Aguila might have his own werebeast contingency. 228381
Devan has informed Juhel Revorn of the meets and the book. Bastien and Renaud have visited Brussels, Louvain, Reims and Soissons to whisper about the meeting between Aguila and Vintronus and that one or the other may be receiving great rewards. (post 226905)BISHOP CALCHUS HAS SENT ENVOYS TO CHALON, HOPING TO GET HIS OWN PIECE OF THE ACTION. DYBRO DOESN'T YET KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
Renaud has gone to Maurice Fuvieux to get the rumor to Vintronus with the story that Lotan wants he and Aguila to work out a new alliance and will reward Aguila with the Book of Satan if he succeeds. Making Aguila super powerful and so forth. (post ?, maybe DYBRO REPORTS THAT AGUILA HASN'T BOUGHT INTO THAT AND IT HAS ACTUALLY MADE HIM SUSPICIOUS. HE HAS A LIBRARY IN CHALON WHERE HE STAYS.
Celecia:. We never approached her directly, but thought she might show up because she's so wrapped up in this region and in these groups. However, she might be attacking Trier. DUCHESS CELICIA IS ATTACKING TRIER. HILL GIANTS, UROKOI AND GNOLLS UNDER HER COMMAND HAVE ALREADY MADE ONE ATTEMPT TO TAKE THE CITY(SEE JONAS)SHE IS QUEEN OF THE BLOOD MARK CLAN, ALL WEREWOLVES AND EVERYTHING JAMIE WOULD HEAR, TELLS HER THAT CELICIA IS MOVING ON TRIER AND PLANNING ON GOING TO CHALON FOR THE MEETING. IT'S QUITE POSSIBLE SHE COULD BRING CLOSE TO A THOUSAND WEREWOLVES INTO PLAY. SHE DOESN'T REPORT OR ANSWER TO LOTAN. SHE REPORTS DIRECTLY TO MURAZOR AND WARGA. DYBRO CONSIDERS HER MORE POWERFUL AND DANGEROUS THAN LOTAN.
Taheris: unkown. We never approached him directly, but if he is still close with Vintronus he might show up too. If Vintronus is there, Taheris will be to. Vintronus never goes anywhere without him. IF VINTRONUS IS THERE, TAHERIS WILL BE AS WELL. VINTRONUS NEVER GOES ANYWHERE WITHOUT HIM.
Lord Cherot of Champage: He is currently in Chalon negotiating a truce with Alexandre Godarte. Jamie actually doesn't care to make an alliance with him - she just wants his human troops to come to her side and she wants to route the humanoid troops he's got under his command. He's also got a bunch of Templars with him. Jamie isn't too sure how this plan is going to work either with or against Cherot. Or, even how he is to be approached. She'll figure that out as she goes. HE IS CURRENTLY IN CHALON NEGOTIATING A TRUCE WITH ALEXANDRE GODARTE. HE HAS NEVER COMMANDED HUMANOID TROOPS AND DYBRO AND RAKEESH DOUBT HE EVER WILL. HE IS A TRUE KNIGHT TEMPLAR.
Might want to include this in one of the expand buttons: Chalon defenses:
Commanded by Lord Cherot of Champagne, the bastard half brother of Lady Gosset, one of the exiled houses of Chamapagne. His sister, Lady Gosset and her family currently reside in Aachen under the protection of Lorraine. Lord Cherot is currently the Knight Commander of all Templars in Champagne. Next to Bishop Damon of Reims, he is officially, the highest ranking member of the Church in Champagne. He chose Chalon as his headquarters two years ago.
300 sappers and combat engineers led by men with plenty of experience fighting the uroks in Gemania. 400 highly trained Flemish crossbowman 300 Knight Templars of moderate to high rank and skill. Many of them have recently arrived from Constantinople. These men are led by Bishop Aymer. Dybro doesn't know anything about him just yet, but he does know there is tension between his Templars and Lord Cherot's. Of the 300 Templars in Chalon, 215 of them came with Bishop Aymer. 500 light foot men, skilled with short bows and long swords, most of these men support the Templars. DYBRO HAS REPORTED THAT BISHOP AYMER AND 200 OF HIS TEMPLARS LEFT FOR EPERNAY AND ARE NO LONGER IN CHALON. DYBRO FOUND OUT THAT BISHOP AYMER AND TAHERIS SERVED TOGETHER IN CARTHAGE AND SUSPECTS AYMER IS MORE LOYAL TO TAHERIS THAN ANYONE ELSE, DESPITE CHURCH PROTOCOL. 700 pikemen, these are common militia, day laborers and serfs who train twice a week. 400 knights of the Papal Guard, answering to the Bishop Harlon of Chalon and not necessarily part of the expeditionary force looking to invade.LOTAN RECALLED TWO HUNDRED OF THEM TO AVIGNON. 800 men at arms and squires of the Papal Guard. LOTAN RECALLED FOUR HUNDRED OF THEM TO AVIGNON. 600 regular garrison men, all of who live in and around Chalon, they are under the command of Sir Parmor of Julich. He is not particularly well liked by the Templars or the Bishop of Chalon. DYBRO KNOWS THIS MAN AND HIS COMMAND SECRETLY ANSWER TO PRELATE AGUILA, PROBABLY DUE TO BLACKMAIL OF SOME KIND. DYBRO KNOWS HE DOESN'T LIKE THE PRELATE.
Expeditionary Force:ALEXANDRE GODARTE AND SIR HALGON SHARPE ATTACKED AND DEFEATED THIS FORCE OUTSIDE HIGH VALE BY THE MARNE RIVER CROSSING.
Captain Sir Antoine de Bourbon, Knight of the Crown, not a Templar, leads this force.ALEXANDRE GODARTE MET HIM ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE AND DEFEATED HIM IN HAND TO HAND COMBAT. HE IS CURRENTLY A PRISONER IN HIGH VALE AWAITING HIS RANSOM. Father Luigi Borgia, master Flagellant, the second in command ESCAPED AND IS CURRENTLY IN REIMS WITH BISHOP DAMON. DYBRO SUSPECTS LUIGI WILL BE IN CHALON SERVING THE INTERESTS OF THE BISHOP DAMON. 200 Knights of Burgundia and Germania, many of these men graduated from the War College in Koln and have a great deal of experience fighting humanoids. 70 OF THEM DIED IN THE FIGHTING, ANOTHER 40 WERE CAPTURED BY ALEXANDRE. THE REST FELL BACK TO TRIER AND ARE NOW SERVING PHILLIP OF BURGUNDY OR JONAS ARCHBISHOP OF TRIER. 50 Knight's Templars EVERYONE OF THEM FOUGHT TO THE DEATH TRYING TO SAVE ANTOINE DE BOURBON. 120 Flagellants EIGHTY DEAD, THE REST FLED BACK TO CHALON, EPERNAY AN REIMS. 150 Knights of the Sash, Rakeesh knows little about these men. They are from northern Flanders and Falcon's Point. ALL OF THEM ARE DEAD. THEY EITHER DIED IN THE FIGHTING OR WERE LATER EXECUTED AT ALEXANDRE'S COMMAND. 700 heavy foot mercenaries, are mostly Jutes, Angles and Frisians fighting to save their families who are held inside Chalon. These men are not allowed inside the main walls of the city. They will lead the initial assault across the river and at High Vale. TWO HUNDRED DIED IN THE FIGHTING, THE REST NOW SERVE LORD ALEXANDRE GODARTE. THEIR FAMILIES RELEASE AND SAFETY ARE PART OF THE ONGOING NEGOTIATIONS. 1,000 light footmen with shorts swords, light axes and crossbows.THESE MEN ALL DIED OR SCATTERED AFTER THE BATTLE. Sir Clicquot and 400 men of his house 79 DEAD, THE REST RETREATED AND SIR CLICQOUT AND THE REMAINDER ARE CURRENTLY IN REIMS. DYBRO SUSPECTS SIR CLICQUOT WILL ESCORT LUIGI WHEN HE COMES TO CHALON TO BID FOR THE BOOK. Sir Montpelliere and 230 men of his house, THEY NEVER ACTUALLY TOOK PART IN THE BATTLE, ARRIVING TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING. CURRENTLY IN CHALON UNDER SIR CHEROT. Sir Resny Defoe and 150 men FOUGTH WELL AND RETIRED IN GOOD ORDER TO HIS ESTATES. MOST LIKELY WON'T BE IN CHALON. NO FIGURES ON HIS CASUALTIES FROM THE BATTLE.
600 assorted mercenaries, who are actually some of the best troops on the expedition. ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN DIED, TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN WERE WOUNDED AND CAPTURED, THE REST OF HAVE SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE CITY AND PROVINCE, PRACTICING BANDITRY TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES. BOTH LORD CHEROT AND ALEXANDRE HAVE ORDERED ANY OF THEM CAUGHT TO BE HANGED WITHOUT CEREMONY.
Vintronous: The plans for Chalon are coming along fine. I plan on attending with only a small retinue of thirty knights and 120 guardsmen.THIS HAS PROBABLY CHANGED
Aguila: Prelate Aguila arrives (in Trier, likely using same force) with an escort of three hundred armored men in half plate and twelve knights in full armor and colors of red and gold with Griffons blazing on their surcoats AGUILA HAS RETURNED TO CHALON AND IS CURRENTLY RESIDING AT HIS LIBRARY AND HOME THERE.
Bishop Remus is sending two of his men and possibly more Flagellants. (recent post)SIR GALLIARD IS AN ASSASSIN-CLERIC OF THE ADDER'S TONGUE SOCIETY, A CHAOTIC EVIL FOLLOWER OF SET, WHOSE MAIN GOAL SEEMS TO WREAK AS MUCH MURDER AND HAVOC AS REMUS AND LEONARD WILL LET HIM AND FESTUS, A WEREBOAR OF THE TWISTED CLAW SOCIETY. THE FLAGELLANT CLERICS MOROSIUS AND DAMULIS. DYBRO DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT EITHER OF THEM EXCEPT THAT THEY ARE PART OF BISHOP GOURMOND'S ORGANIZATION. BISHOP GOURMOND WORKS FOR ARCH-BISHOP REMUS AND DUKE LEONARD AS THEIR CHIEF SPYMASTER AND INTELLIGENCE/INTERROGATION OFFICER.
To Do: inform Kynan Whiteshanks, druids, gauls and get them into a position in surrounding Chalon. If we can get vikings on the river to support, then we need them to go to the East of Chalon. NOT FROM DYBRO:KYNAN AND HIS PEOPLE CAN'T GET TO CHALON IN TIME. IT'S QUITE A WAYS FROM GENAPPE AND IT IS IN THE TERRORITY OF OTHER GAULISH TRIBES, THE CARNUTES AND BELLOVACCI.
To Do: get forces of Genappe to move into position north east of Chalon, in support of Godarte. AGAIN, THEY ARE TOO FAR AWAY.
To Do: inform Rugen or Rogvald the Glorious to help on the River. Skaga can also guard the river if they sail all the way to Chalon.POSSIBLE
To Do: ask Rene for help guarding the east. maybe he will send Crimson Riders!?!?RENE HAS HANDS FULL, WILL DO WHAT HE CAN.
To Do: Get High Vale riders involved and sent to retrieve Olivia Revorn.IN THE WORKS.
To Do: Get Griffons she's met into the city to help plug a few obvious escape routes ( via sewers)...but more importantly to break a seige should a seige happen. Would also definately like Taylon the Judicator to help sort out who's lotan level evil and who can be given a second chance.
To Do: Make a wanted list of people that must not be let to escape - Juhel Revorn, Vintronus, Taheris, any Templars with black crosses, any Flagellants, Bishop Remus's two people, Aguila, Laimon and his creatures, Twisted Claw, etc. Kargothians. Priests of Jordan??
To Do: Get Olorin and Udon on board. Give them each an important role. Thinking they can do something about Lycans for certain.
To Do: Find priests and clerics to specifically deal directly with Laimon's undead or Arlen's undead or Aguila's undead or whoever's undead.
To Do: There's going to be bad guys outside Chalon - Korvir the ogre magi and so forth. Figure out what to do about them so they don't blow an escape route open.KORVIR OPERATES IN FLANDERS AND HAINAULT, WHICH IS TOO FAR AWAY FOR HIM TO BE A FACTOR.
To Do: understand how the walled city is set up, get a map, know the names and directions of all the gates.....the fight is going to break out inside Chalon. likely it will spill out of the city as people try to flee. she imagines that some will be fleeing/fighting/fleeing/fighting as well. it will be complete chaoes. at first she wants her surrounding friends (Godarte, Sharpe, etc to hang back and make it look like it is clear for them to escape - as well as for their own safety). This is why they will need so many to make the border around Chalon. There will also be people that will figure out that fleeing isn't the best option, or run back to Chalon if they spot what happens to the people ahead of themselves. At some point the ring around Chalon will squeeze smaller and we will perhaps seige the city.
To Do: figure out if Jamie will be inside or outside the city. Griffons, Damilon might help with movement inside if she's going to need to be inside.
All forces surrounding Chalon are to call for the surrender of any people fleeing Chalon, make them captives for questioning. It is not to be an all out slaughter. Anyone who refuses to surrender forces us to kill them. The ring will close and seige Chalon if that is necessary. Then, Griffons on the inside will do the same sort of job that they were hired to do in Nijmegen - blow a wall and let us in.
Who she can send where: Larn Saxa to Conrad the Lost - do they have an army that can help with the East?CONSIDERING THE MESS IN FLANDERS,PROBABLY NOT. Ellory to ??? isn't she someone's sister? SHE IS WELSH/NORMAN NOBILITY, HAS FAMILY AND LANDS IN BRITTANY AND WALES. TOO FAR TO BE MUCH HELP NOW. Goshawk to the druids. HE COULD SPEAK TO THE CARNUTES AND BELLOVACCI. Where is Kynans's wife?SHE AND KYNAN ARE BOTH STAYING IN GENAPPE RIGHT NOW. Renaud to the East? or is he with Genappe? HE IS IN LOUVAIN, SPYING FOR JAMIE. Aggelson to the East? does he have troops? - or he can be in charge of prisoners to make their captivity legitimate. HE HAS SOME PERSONAL TROOPS, WOULD BE IDEAL FOR HOLDING CAPTIVES AND DETERMING THE EXTENT OF THEIR EVIL. Udon, White Friars, Hagorn's crew who seem loyal to Jamie to help sort out who is on what side (whether they know it or not) - like that Lord Cherot and the guardmen's leader that no one likes.JAMIE CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON THE WHITE FRIARS. DAMILON IS THE ONLY MEMBER OF HAGORN'S CREW CURRENTLY WITH JAMIE. TYBALT IS IN FALCON'S POINT WITH THE HOUND. DIDIER IS STILL WITH HER, BUT HE IS NO LONGER PART OF HUGARN'S CREW. HE HAS PLEDGED TO BE HER BODYGUARD FOR AS LONG AS SHE WANTS HIM.

OOC-Rather than answering in another post and copying everything over, I edited your last post and answered in bold type the questions Jamie could have answered. I also posted a map of the immediate area to give you a better idea of where everything is in relation to each other.
IC-Jamie sends her spell to Kree Quickshadow and he responds shortly after she finishes casting, Meet me along the river, bring a friend, I will. Through subsequent casting, Jamie finds that Kree is not near Chalon at all, but just south and west of Epernay along the river like he said. She has a hard time figuring his voice. He is elven for certain and she realizes she hasn't dealt with many elves in her life and has a hard time discerning whether he trusted her message or not and what kind of reception he could plan for her. Her message to Hector is much easier to gauge. He responds in a low, out of breath whisper, Running and hiding from them now, thanks for looking out. Prias dead, changed to mummy, burned him to ashes. Carillo is watching her send her spells and listen to the responses when Didier slips unobtrusively into the tent. Larn leaves without a word, which doesn't surprise anyone. Only Carillo, Didier, Damilon, and Olorin are now in the tent with Jamie. She can see that Carillo wants some time alone with her, but doesn't say anything, clearly understanding the importance of what they are doing.

During the night, when Olorin asks her quietly about the glass ball found in Snorgvar's lair, Jamie shakes her head and quietly answers back. No. I didn't see it but for an instant. Skaga kept it hidden from all of us. I do remember its shape, size, and color. So, yeah, I could pick it out if I saw it again. Cept if it was with another orb or two. Jamie instantly understands that Skaga was protecting them from it, thought she sort of figured that all along. I really like her. She's been terribly insightful and helpful.
---------------------- Jamie gathers her thoughts together. She's ready for a great discussion of all things, but especially one about Chalon. They have 10 hours before they go meet the leader of the High Vale Riders and begin staging the whole bloody event.
She starts by verifying, Olorin, I suppose you've been introduced to everyone while I was, er, away. I am going to speak freely and I hope you feel comfortable enough to do so as well. She hopes he likes everyone, but if not, she hopes that he can tolerate them.
I'd like to start off with a personal matter. I, er, perhaps foolishly, have crafted a few summoning charms that I've keyed to myself. I've given them to four people with the instructions to summon me if they need me. One I've given to Skaga...and she used it already. One to Godarte. One to Hakkon Bissasson - a Viking skald. Both of them, I believe have been and will be valuable to Project Reformation. And, one, I impulsively gave to a Constantijn DeGraff - a sort of knight fellow who has a very dry sense of humor that I appreciate. Impulsivity is one of my, erm, flaws. I have not heard from Godarte or DeGraff in quite some time. I sometimes worry, of course, that something might happen to one of them and then my raven charm will be in the wrong hands. Jamie remembers the feeling of it being handled. She's not too worried about Hakkon while Skaga is with him. There's nothing I can really do about them now. I won't be making any more of those.
Another personal concern is that Gringamore pointed out to me all the negatives of the company I keep. He even suggested that a White Friar is actually a double agent for Lotan. I find that impossible to believe. Gringamore said and did a lot of things that weren't quite true or real. But. Gringamore doesn't like the White Friars, especially Camdar. So, he would have his own motivation to ruin their order's progress. He didn't like Judicators much either. Or you, Olorin. She thinks that Gringamore tried to do what Jamie herself has done to others in the past - sprouting seeds of doubt into blossoming certainties with Suggestion spells amongst fragile allies. But, the relationship between herself and the Friars is anything but fragile. She gives Damilon a grin and a wink. Gringamore doesn't think you are very nice and that I shouldn't let you hang round.
We need to not listen to him or anyone like him. We need to understand each other, trust each other, no matter who says what about us. Forgive past mistakes or misunderstandings and let them go and not hold onto them in our hearts to fester. I know I've messed up, and am messing up still all the time. I think that ugly part is coming. I mean, they are doing it to others already. Where a sister or a nephew or a friend is captured and will be hurt if you don't do such and such. Bribes. Tricks. Faked evidence. I'm sure we'll have to deal with a lot of that as well as the 'apostate' stuff. We know how Lotan and his work. Gringamore's warnings were just a...a...practice round. She suspects Lotan will have more than one attack against her and hers underway. The public declarations and a more private one.
She pauses to see if anyone would like to discuss the matter of a possible double agent amongst them or to let it just stay at that. She hopes it is the latter.
Jamie tells them all that they will Shadow Walk to south west of Epernay where she and one other will go have a meeting with Kree Quickshadow in regards to information about Chalon and the surrounding areas and a proposal for the High Vale Riders to escort them for a few days and then go off to get Olivia Revorn. She gives a rundown of what information she has so far on Chalon, land forms, enemies, allies, possibilties.
One of my biggest concerns about Chalon is Celecia and her thousand werewolves. And, lycans in general.
Jamie reviews and ties werecreatures into the phases of preparations that Luther Van Bora has some religious vision that made Vecna's plans clear. Phase I - Rakshasa and Changelings, already happened. Church of Kargoth has been infiltrated by Changlelings. Phase II - Winter Wars, already happened Phase III Lycanthropes- Multiply to be the shock troops and the servants of Lord Vecna. Vampires- the Dukes and Princes of Lord Vecna’s Empire. Establish authoritive areas of control as soon as the fight breaks out. Phase IV Awakening of the Dead- These will act as the legions of the Army of Vecna. Covert Agents make their attacks decimating leadership of the West.
That's a lot of different creatures to deal with. But, since we have to face Lycans next, let's focus on them. Do you or can you have a remade cure for lycanthropy? Did the Rat Mage and his wererats ever find you at the Eagle and the Babe? She asks Olorin the last parts specifically, turning to him in regards to Celecia.
----------------------------------------- Information from Jonas and Jamie conversation thread about Chalon:
The enemy, mostly Aguila and Lord Cherot of Champagne, a Knight Commander of the Templars are mustering in Chalon for an attack on High Vale, which is south and across the Marne from Chalon. They are ferrying in northern mercenaries, goths, saxons, danes, led by a Hertug Arling
Bishop Henican has the resources of both Bishop Calchus and Lady Miyuki near Chalon. 247264
Chalon seems to be a very good stronghold, nearly impossible to attack 247264
I recently learned that Celecia was put into place by Lotan himself to keep an eye on Aguila. Lotan fears Aguila's going to try to become too powerful. Vintronus and Celecia vs. Arlen and Aguila are like the checks and balances of each other. If we took out one, the other would become the dominant. I've always wanted to get both at the same time. If this works, it will be a big thrill.*
Jonas is going to send this through Phillips men...increasing the carnage in Chalon:
Cecelia, Aguila has tried to kill Phillip the Bold. Please take care of this matter for the church, but please take care of the other matter (Arlen) first. 261110
Vintronus is going to be arriving and bringing 120 men and his personal guard. Also Taheris the Slaad summoning kargothian and he will probably bring along his little crew. Also, Juhel Revorn the shapechanger is somehow bound to Vintronus and will probably show too. That's a big contingency.266161
Vintronous should be bringing a decent force, but he's in hot water with Lord Cherot who should turn on him easily. Vintronous was scared to go to Chalon before, just wait until he sees what happens when he tries to backstab Jonas (though it was prearranged)! Juhel Revorn the shapechanger has asked to come to Chalon and Jonas approved of it.
No clue on Cecillia, thought she was hearing through Jamie's grapevine. Everyone knows about the meeting anyhow. Aguila is likely the hardest to kill, think Dybro or Phillip had some information on him. Gringamore is at war with Leonard, so that is somewhat good news. Also have a St. Ogma Bishop inside Chalon that might be willing to let Godart in when the time is right to avoid a siege.266168
They are not all bad. Lord Cherot of Champagne and Bishop Harlon of Chalon can be turned easily against Vintronous. Vintronous fears them! Plus, Lord Cherot is in charge of most the city. That should turn a lot of the 'grunts' to side with us (or at least fight each other and severely weaken them). Celecia will likely make an appearance. Not expecting Gringamore or Leonard, they have their own battle. No clue on Bishop Aymer. 266175
****I think Bishop Damon of Reims has a power struggle with Phillip the Bold over Burgundy. Godart/Jamie should use that to their advantage. Perhaps we offer Lord Cherot a promotion over Phillip and Damon for Burgundy as a state of Lorraine (Olivia Ravorn then gets Champagne, which should ease some tension between those families as an added bonus)?!? At least in the near term while we deal with all the other mess, it gets him to help fight for us. Lady Gossett and Lord Cherot families don't get along: "all of Count Lupus' lands and titles now belong to Lady Revorn and her father, thus disinheriting the rest of House Champagne and creating all the tension and trouble." I think Godart was working on persuading him to a meeting or something.***
Phillip II survived an assassination attempt and a Bishop is looking after him. I think he's in Chalon, not sure though.
Jonas trusts Bishop Harlan of Chalon.

Olorin's eyebrow over his right brow raises up when Jamie confides she trusts Skaga and likes her. He is surprised by that and quietly mulls it over while smoking his pipe.Did you know she used to sit at Dankros' table. She was his cup-bearer or something akin to that. Have you ever met Dankros? Olorin's eyes have a mixture of worry and interest, like he's putting together some kind of delicate puzzle. We could use him as an ally. If you and Skaga are close, would you be willing to broach that subject? If you do, there's no need to mention my name. Dankros and I don't trust one another, and for good reasons. He thinks I'm a follower of St. O'brien and he basically doesn't trust any of the "Cross-Lovers," as he calls them. The destruction of Paris and London have never sat well with me. I have a hard time reconciling those acts with forgiving Dankros for having done them. It's something we have argued about, so yes, we know one another. I also did not approve of him slaying the Holy Father with St. Olaf's cursed head. He and I often agree on what needs to be done, we just tend to have vast disagreements on how to go about doing them. Take Duchess Celicia and her lycans for instance. Danrkos would most likely start hunting and killing them in some ritualistic fashion, like whoever was hanging Templars and Flagellants and hurling a spear through their heart as they twirled in the Ardennes two years ago. By doing that he would spread fear and distrust among them. Slowly he would whittle them all down or they would flee in fear for their lives. Here's my solution,Olorin opens up his hand to reveal a small walnut size sphere of silver, that Jamie instinctively knows is the Raven's Tear. She can feel the pulse of it's power, like the heartbeat of a living thing. When you go to Chalon, squeeze tears into the wells and other major water sources, even rivers, small streams and lakes will work. Anyone drinking from those waters cannot contract lycanthropy. Any lycan drinking those waters will either be cured, or sicken and die. The true Werewolves will feel ill and may die, but probably not. They will however start avoiding those waterways and the surrounding lands. I hope this will help you in small part, for I cannot go to Chalon with you. I trust you to accomplish this. You have more than earned it Jamie. ----------- Jamie calls her counsel and everyone joins her outside around a large fire that twists and furls in the stiff winds. It has stopped raining and is quite chilly, but everyone looks glad to get out of their tents and enjoy the evening and the clear, star filled sky. Carillo and Didier make sure Jamie has enough to eat and a warm cloak or blanket, and neither man strays far from her side. Olorin sits among the rest, looking as content as she's ever remembered him. Ogmund holds up a hand when Jamie tells them about the raven amulets, Couldn't you use a locate object spell to find them and get them back? If the owners are allies and friends, they shouldn't resist returning them. If they do, we can always steal them back for you. I mean Jamie, if Lotan or someone like that got a hold of one them...well I don't want to think about that, so let's make plans to get them back. Everyone else nods in agreement with that. All of them even more concerned for Jamie than ever before. It doesn't help that her recent captivity still looms large in everyone's thoughts. The mood lightens up when Jamie tells them about Gringamore and Hamil pipes up, Since when is not being liked or trusted by Gringamore a bad thing? he looks around laughing and happy that everyone else except Larn joins in and several more jokes about charity contests and such go around. Once the laughter slows down some, Damilon stands up to address everyone. He is dark and foreboding and the shadows seem to move around like always. It doesn't bother Jamie, she is so used to it, but she can tell some of the others aren't so sure, particularly when his voice takes on a deep and eerie tone,I have to tell you Jamie. Gringamore is partly right about me. In the East, in Palmyra and Sidon, Tyre and Byzantium, I'm known as the Vile-Silencer. It is true, I am, have been, and most likely will continue to work as an assassin and spy. It's really all I know, then his voice changes and the shadows cease and he breaks out laughing, soon joined by the others. He calms and becomes more serious I will have you know, while looking for you, I spoke to Father Camdar about you and about my past. He heard my confession and granted me absolution. I wanted you(everyone, not just Jamie)to know that. Didier walks over and pats Damilon on the back and the two men give one another a quick hug and she hears Damilon whisper to him, You were right, you did the right thing. Jamie then takes over explaining her plans and what needs to be done and Ogmund, Vestein, Linna, and Jorunn, once again surprise her with their knowledge and cleverness. They all know the area having traveled through it on a number of occassions, and are already discussing plans and spells to use in order to accomplish a number of small tasks like bribing guards, finding who's staying where in Chalon and such. None of them have even given a thought to the fact that they might not be going. Linna and Jorunn are both half-elves and volunteer to meet Kree with Jamie if she thinks that will help. Didier speaks up for the first time, I should go with Jamie. I know this Kree, having met him a couple of times when Kree was working with Devan in Falcon's Point. He's not mean Jamie, but he is merciless to his enemies.

Jamie agrees to try to get an appearance before Dankros Averagos through Skaga somehow. I might be able to make some sort of alliance, or understanding, with him. I'll try.
She takes the Raven's Tear in her hands. She cannot believe that she now holds a simple tool to end so much misery, so much evil, and unravel a huge part of Vecna's plans to dominate The West. It cost the maker, Paulinus Ravenfriend everything he had to make it. Was Ravenfriend an Istari? Did you know him well? Do you still? She looks up at Olorin, thinking already. Must the tears be drunk? What if a druid...called up some rainclouds. And I flew up and added a drop or two to the cloud. What would happen? Jamie thinks that it might be someone's life's work to go around putting a teardrop into every fresh watersource - lake, river, stream, pond, and well. Then she looks at the size of the gem. Will this run out? Should I use it freely, or should I be very conservative with it?
Keeping the quiet conversationn going, Jamie says, I know where some of Enrico's books have been hidden. One may have information about the battle between Kas and St. Arn. Specifically, it might tell St. Arn buried the sword of Kas. No one knows where these tomes are but me, and Enrico's own loyal apprentice name of Lysandro.
She leans in to Olorin, I have, er, a few allies. One that is especially valuable to me, because he can think far into the future and sees beyond the boundaries of politics and religion...but is also er, flawed by a strong need for personal gain. This ally thinks that Kas, if freed from his prison, would after Vecna. That would be the end of one or the other. But, I have been reluctant to pursue this possibility. What would Kas do afterward but take over exactly where Vecna leaves off? We know exactly what Vecna is planning - we have no idea what Kas might do. I'd rather go with what I know. What do you advise?
She also explains to Olorin, If you aren't coming, will Udon? As a favor, will you or he escort people there before going off to other business? We are going to Shadow Walk.

Olorin nods his head in approval at Jamie's willingness to try and meet Dankros. When she mentions Paulinus she sees Olorin start for a moment, then sigh and sit quietly remembering, his voice is slow and he chooses his words carefully, No, he was not an Istari, not an elf or Tdonian, or Numenorean. He was a simple, ordinary man who strived to do great things. He had talent, but mostly he had determination to find ways to accomplish his goals.Jamie can see a tear glistening on Olorin's cheek, Did you know he loved birds and playing games. He made me laugh, moreso than any others except a few halflings. Much like you, he also presided over a group of rogues, like yours. They all became legends and Saints. He was my friend Jamie and I loved him as much as I have loved any save a very few. Olorin reaches up and wipes his nose an sniffles some, The Raven's Tear may be his greatest creation. I don't know his fate though. I do not have access to the Halls of Mandos or other places his spirit may dwell. I like to believe the legends, that wounded and plotting, he fled into the forests and hid from his foes. That would be like him and now he lies there sleeping and dreaming and healing himself. They call it the Magewood now. They say the forest and flowers are a reflection of his dreams. I often walk there when I grow weary and troubled. I've not found him, but I always leave soothed and more clear minded than when I came. If you get the chance, you should go there, maybe you could find him, wake him and bring his laughter back to the World Olorin leans over his knees and a deep sob tears out of him and he shakes for a moment. He grows still and she hears a heavy breathe come out of him and he looks up, his face streaked with tears, but composed, Now, that idea of seeding the clouds. It's not one I've ever thought of. One of your druid friends might know more. I would say it's worth a try. As far as I know, you don't have to worry about it running out. When you start to use it, it will change to a dark blue, like the color of stormclouds before a rain. When it starts becoming silver again, that is when you should stop and allow it to regain it's energies. It recharges faster if placed in running water, like a stream or smaller river. Olorin pulls his handkerchief out and wipes his face, then relights his pipe, looking like his normal self again. Jamie can now see something of smile behind his eyes and knows he is recalling some of the fonder memories of his friend. He jumps up, towering over her when she mentions freeing Kas, No Jamie, leave that be. You are right in believing bringing him back is folly. Don't go near Kas or his tomb or any of his artifacts. Least not yet. I advise you to stay away from Lone Tree Pass altogether. I'm going there. It is why I am not going to Chalon. It is rumored that Kas' spirit dwells there, is trapped there and seeks release. He reaches out and reassuringly holds Jamie's hand, Now take heart Jamie, we both have long roads to follow with no telling where they'll end. You have strong companions, people I believe are as faithful to you as any you could hope to find. He gives her a humorously sly look, I like your Carillo. Did he actually sing to you? Is that what swayed you into his arms. Olorin is chuckling now, the sound of it warm and full of mirth. OOC-Yes, Udon is planning on going. The only person not going for certain is Larn.

As the unit set for the meeting nears the river, Kree signals the cover team to take up thier stations.
As they near the meeting spot the Forestgreen clad elf centers himself between his two comrades. A Tall barbarian wearing a cloak and carring a well used axe is on his left...to his right, a robed fellow whose eyes seem to study all about him as they walk. In the Middle , as DArkahired Pony-tailed elf wa. a Bow in his left hand. his forestgreen gold flecked eyes looks over the area. A longsword rides on his left hip a dagger on his right...throwing dagger hilts peek from the Kneehigh doeskin boot tops. It is almost comical to see the slim , slight elf between the tall robed Human and the massive barbarian...but none of them seem to be in a laughing mood.

Jamie is there with a hooded lantern, lit and burning with the hood all the way opened so she is in the middle of a full circle of light.
Even thought it is day enough.
Otherwise there is nothing very unusual about her. She's smallish, maybe 5 feet tall. She has pretty hair and he can guess why she's been given the nickname Red Witch. She's pale and has plenty of freckles. She's dressed in a very plain gray wool dress with a sort of lumpy handknit yarn cloak in a mishmash of colors but mostly brown.
She is with one other person and this man is one that Kree might recognize. His name is Didier and Kree has worked with him before (and Didier's partner named Devan) - back in Falcon's Point. Didier is a tall, broad shoulders swordfighter type who is also quite the ladies man.
Great. Hallo. Er. Very pleased to meet you. I'm Jamie Boggett and this is my friend Didier. Shall we shake hands? Jamie doesn't want to offer her hand and maybe be suspicious. But, she doesn't want to not offer her hand and be both suspicious and rude. So, she asks.

OOC-sorry for not getting this set up better.
IC-They are meeting at a curve in the river, where no ships coming or going could see them until they rounded bend and then they would have more than enough time to take cover if they chose. Kree would remember Didier and Devan. They usually did contract protection work for people in need. At least those were the stories he was told. Kree always suspected the two worked for more than just gold, but never spent enough time around them to find out. One thing he knew for certain, no one under their care ever got hurt, which was a surprisingly admirable thing in Falcon's Point. They also never betrayed their clients, which wasn't unheard of in the city. They took a contract they finished it. That made them two of the highest paid and most sought after bodyguards in the city. Kree knew Devan was a mage and Didier a sellsword of uncommon skill. Didier is only about 5-10, but he is a powerfully built man, honed for combat. He has such a presence it's hard to realize he's not actually that tall. Kree knows he once fought and killed seven men by himself, and another time strangled a wererat to death with his barehands, or so they say on the docks. Kree doesn't see Devan anywhere, but the mage could be invisible. Jamie is looking at them and it's hard not to miss Yanji. The other two could easily stand in his shadow. He is at least 6-4 with brawny shoulders and long arms. She instantly likes him though. She doesn't know why but she does. She gets the feeling he is kind when not fighting and oddly enough she imagines him as a wonderful father. Looking at the other man, the bronze skinned mage, more sturdily built than most mages she has met snaps her back to reality. At first, everything about him screams danger to her. His stance, his scrutinizing eyes, his protective spells, all remind her of Prias. That is until she catches him looking at her clothes with some disdain, obviously wondering if she purposely dresses like that or if it's some kind of disguise. Prias would never show such emotion or curiosity. His voice is young sounding too, much younger than he looks, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but would you like a more proper shawl or cloak. I could fetch you one if you'd like. Kree and Yanki would both look at Eberius with concern and shock. Offering clothes is not something Eberius would normally do and it's obvious to all he is taken with Jamie. Kree would find himself liking her as well. There's something trustworthy and decent about her, in some ways she reminds him very much of Arolyn.

Jamie says, in reply to the Raiders and a hidden foe, which is an important subject to her, I have about dozen friends not too far from here. Most of them aren't soldiers. They are waiting for my return. I trust them all. I've found...sometimes, if you are good to people, honest about who you are and what you can offer, give them a chance to come 'round, they might change their minds. Might be, you know, that one of them is on your side in his or her heart...but our enemy has a loved one of theirs as captive and they act on saving that loved one. My advice is, drop everything to help them. Good for morale and less to regret when we are old, gray, and reflective.
In responce to the Coucy accusations, Jamie wiggles her ankles agitatedly, I've heard of Coucy before. He has a small army. I had heard that he opposes Vintronus...so I thought he might be a friend to make. I'm disappointed to hear your negative experiences with him.
She asks, What Lady? in response to the Lady fighter.
She sighs all dramatically when asked about her own aid and intel. Where to start? she mutters to herself.

Jamie makes a mental note to stay away from Coucy if he's with the Red Sash. Or, maybe like Renaud...he's very been duped.
I've been keeping track of the goings in Champagne and in the Ardennese Forest for a long while. I've made myself an enemy in Vintronus. I've skirmished with his advisors, I've made it no secret I support Olivia Revorn replacing him. I've ratted him out to Lorraine and to some Senators as a knowing collaborator in Vecna's plans, via Lotan, to take control of The West. He's maybe convinced some that it was all Celecia's mind control that made him do bad things and work with werecreatures....but I don't believe he's ever been an innocent puppet.
Vintronus is either coming to Chalon, likely he's already here. He'll have a about 120 men as well as his personal guard. He'll have a man named Taheris with him too - this is a Priest of Set who parades as a Kargothian Priest.
Jamie sets a pile of 12 green marbles on the ground at her feet and then rises.
There's a bunch of church folk coming to Chalon. There's one in particular named Aguila, he's a Prelate, that's fairly settled in Chalon. He's one that's partly in charge of mustering troops against Halgon Sharpe in the High Vale. There's a couple of church folks sent by Bishop Remus. Remus also might be sending some Flagellants - Morosius and Damulus. Remus probably will send this one name of Sir Galliard. He goes 'round with this other named Festus. OK? There's Bishop Henican maybe too.
Each one I named is a follower of Set, a wereboar member of the Twisted Claw, a spy for Leonard, etc. etc. etc. These are evil people, some not even people, who have infiltrated the Church and who use their position of power and respectability and protection by our laws to wreak havoc and spread evil.
Jamie puts a pile of 20 red marbles with 5 orange next to the green ones. In combination, they might be a tad stronger than Vintronus's contingency, even though he rules Champagne. Prelate Aguila is going to be a tough man to kill. Also, he makes his home in Chalon and has his own bodyguards. The orange represent the people sent by Remus. They are a smaller, but will probably group with these red that represent Aguila 'cause Church links are a way to organize. Plus, they might have undead.
Jamie says, Celecia, queen of some other group of lycans, was once the consort of Vintronus. Celecia was put into place by Lotan himself to keep an eye on Aguila. Lotan fears Aguila's going to try to become too powerful. She's coming to Chalon. She's bringing an army of werewolves with her, a thousand. I've heard.
Jamie tosses the rest of the bag of marbles next to the green and the red. Jamie looks at the trio, including Kree for a reaction to the news that a thousand lycans, organized and taking orders from Celecia, are in their homeland.
Yeah. If it wasn't for a her fear of Count DuLac in Paris, Celecia could very easily have conquered Champagne. And, she's a lakey. She's a powerful one, but she takes her orders from Lotan.
Vintronus vs. Aguila vs. Celecia are like the checks and balances of each other. If we took out one, the other would become the dominant and things really wouldn't change here. Maybe even get worse, for normal folk.
She seems really satisfied as she squats down over her 3 piles of marbles.
We're going to get them all at once. First. Vintronus vs. Aguila. Green vs. Red/Orange. They hate each other. Vintronus is here on order from Lotan, so he thinks. He is to meet with his old enemy Aguila and begin some talks. They have each been promised a great reward if they succeed in coming to terms with each other and come up with some way to work together to support Lotan. This reward has been kept somewhat secret but each one believes that Lotan is going to offer them The Book of Satan. This is a book that shows how to make a dead dragon into a Dracolich under the creators control, by the way. Whoever gets that book - Aguila or Vintronus - will be the dominant power over the other...and probably one of the most powerful people in all of Champagne and beyond. Scary, right?
Jamie grins and taps the side of her nose with her finger.
Cept. We forged the notes from Lotan and we forged the note from the Treasury Keeper of Trier (where this book has been kept hidden secret, but not so secret, yeah?). We've been sending whispers and rumors out to Vintronus that Aguila is going to be the one to get the book. And, a couple of good friends of mine inside the Church have sort of lent authority and realism to our little trick.
So. We put Vintronus, and his, in Chalon with Aguila and his. We dangle the one thing they both desperately want, more than anything. We have Vintronus really paranoid that Aguila is going to be given the book. We have Aguila suspicious. Celecia is on her way. He will be informed of that. They are the dryest of tinder, and I have a box of matches.
The point is: the meeting erupts into a fight. I bet Aguila wins. Look, he's on his home turf and he's got more marbles. Right? Vintronus gets defeated, but not before he hurts Aguila. Jamie takes all the green marbles and 12 of the red/orange marbles off the ground and shoves them into her pocket. Now there are 12 red and orange marbles on the ground.
Celecia, like I said, has a main job to keep Aguila from getting too much power. Aguila defeats Vintronus, the balance has tipped and she'll need to step in and take Aguila out.
Jamie pours out the bag of other marbles and starts plucking out the red and orange ones. Aguila is absolutely done. There are a lot of marbles on the ground, more than the green and red/orange groups combined. They represent Celecia and her werewolf army.
Then, when they are all done fighting each other. We step in and capture or kill what's left. That's what we've planned.
Jamie explains that she has spoken to Halgon Sharpe, about six months ago, and promised to come help him. She explains that Olivia Revorn inherits Vintronus's lands and title (but that Aguila has her captive in an abbey) and they will need to free her. She explains that they will need an escort around Chalon from now up to the fight, then they'll want to contain the fight in Chalon and not want to let it spill out too far, and they'll want to mop up afterwards. She explains that she wants everyone left over to be examined and sorted out, all the captives she's been hearing about freed, the people bribed and influenced by their captivity notified, and then organized somehow to get them back home. She explains that someone needs to go get Olivia Revorn when it is over, and it can't be her because Olivia is being held in an area where magic doesn't work. We get rid of Aguila and make sure the person who replaces him is a proper nice person - the gnolls and the trolls and the goblins shouldn't keep coming. I think he's the one bringing them in. She explains that she been blessed with a way to defeat the werewolves, but keeps that vague. She explains that there are a lot of other factors and people that are going to make sure that nothing really goes as smoothly as she made it sound, like Lord Cherot and Hertung Arlingson and Laimon and his undead creatures in Reims...any Drow like that Miyuki that may be in the area and in liason with either Vintronus or Aguila...she doesn't know enough to predict how these additional factions are going to behave. It is going to be an absolutely crazy mess in Chalon, she promises that. She is sure sorting the mess they are about to make will take months. She promises that with Olivia, Godarte, Sharpe the three people completely in charge of political Champagne....and a decent Bishop in charge of the religious Champagne, the whole region can be turned around to be a peaceful productive valley.
Are you in? We sure need your help.
She specifically would like the High Vale Riders to be her escort and then when she's ready, for them to go fetch Olivia from captivity.

The elf listens intently to Jamie...now and again he elbows Eberius to pay attention to what is said,,rather then who is saying it. When she lays out all she has , Kree crouches and looks at the marbles. He looks at her and nods,...we were sent here by Alexandre...not really assigned..but sort of...he shrugs,..happened to be in the area...supposed to draw off some foes and get those who know of us...something to think on.. his elven accent and twist of some words cause him to halt now and again, but it never deters him from saying what he thinks,...Sharpe, and MArquez and another...await the effects of our scouting...Coucy wanted us to go in by hnadfuls... he shakes his head,...we came out here en force...and run scouts from here...each knowing there are Raiders close by to aid them...I am thinking Coucy wanted us taken out...piecemeal...we have thwarted...no less then four attacks from within...two in the town of Aldane...one outside the walls...and the attacks made on the Lady Raiders...i will not be trusting or taking orders from the likes of Coucy...With Sharpe and the others not far from here...why did you seek to speak with a lowly scout and his raggamuffins? he grins up at Yanji and Eberius.
Standing he says,..this LAdy Olivia is the LAdy we were sent to aid...I am thinking they wanted her to be taking out of the area...but...if she has a mind as my own? She will no be leaving things undone...still...we are here for her...and Sharpe and MArquez are folks i trust...would be nice to see if we could take out those tunnels....being this close to the river....I am thinking we need but tap the flow somehow....
With a tilt of his head he asks, would you care to come into our camp...or perhaps ..go to see Sharpe yourself?...as far as our helping...just point us in the direction we needs to find this Oliva...
By-the-by there is a fellow who escaped with some help from the church..the name is Fenri...and a foe of mine..he is also a werefolk...in a weaker moment , Alexandre allowed them to try to heal him...rather then kill him...it is not a mistake i will be making..next i find him...so 'ware , should you run into him and his cohorts.

Jamie wonders aloud, Would Coucy and his Red Sash postpone their persecution of elves if the area was flooded with werewolves? Do they have some sort of humanoid priority? Can you take me to him? I want to talk to him.
Also. I need to speak with Lord Cherot of Champagne. He also hates Vintronus, yet at the same time he's directing his forces against Sharpe. I need to figure him out.
Also. I need you to guide me for a few days. I need you to get my group close to Chalon, and otherwise help us move through these forests, before you go off to fetch Olivia. That's why I came to you instead of Sharpe. We can't really pull this off unless we can come and go in safety. I've heard these forests are difficult to navigate for all the deadly creatures.
And. Do you have any werewolf or wereboar captives anywhere I can, er, interview?
Jamie suggests that they go fetch all her people and bring them all to the Rider's camp. Why not get started?
Jamie asks, Are you volunteering? You'll do this with us?

Kree tilts his head,Coucy's on the river banks there...he moved there as we thought to..as to stay away from the tunnels and such...someone was letting them know ourplans...so i have cut short the sharing of plans, until time comes to do so...it is but a matter of time...and the right word left out...or added in..before i find out who it is...
...as far as were's go..we tend not to allow them to breath any longer then we must...we try to save friends who were bitten...but i cannot condone the turning over to the church , of them...too many come back to fight again...tis no treat to fight the damnable things the first time...
Nodding in the direction of thier camp,..by all means...come and join us...i will gather the Raiders together and we will set about the direction you wish...However...unless we can do something about the tunnels? Well...we will have to skirt a long way about...I lost two Raiders the last fight...sent another one back with the bodies...and a misleading story to tell Coucy's men when he neared camp...The Gutless bugear humper..did not follow are path as i hoped he might...I figured he would he;lp lessen the numbers of our foes...they would lessen his numbers...and if St Dirk smiles...he falls as well...But Coucy is gutless..his troops move in after the work has been done...that is why he is here in the first place...we cleared a path to meet with Sharpe...he followed in our wake...bet thier blades only cleared thier sheaths to stick sauages on and roast over a fire!

Jamie's eyes search the river but she doesn't see anything or anyone, so Coucy's camp must be farther down.
My people are back that way. She indicates the same side of the bank that she and Kree are on, farther upriver. It is lucky that she and Udon didn't end up Shadow Walking them into Coucy's camp.
Come on. I'll introduce you to them. Then I'd prefer it if you would take us to your camp and we'll just settle in with you. If that's alright. I want to keep them safe.
Perhaps as we walk, one of you can tell me a bit more about the locals. I've heard that a Bishop of Chalon is Harlan, in charge of 200 knights. What do you know about him? Also, I've heard that a Sir Parmor of Julich is in charge of the city garrison. What do you know about him?
During the walk along the scrub and trees along the river, Jamie confesses to Eberius, I knit this myself. I really like it. It's definately not finery, but it is cosy.
She hasn't made a decision about the tunnels. How far around would they need to go? She'd much rather keep a low profile until more pieces are in place.
OOC: checking with Rasgorn on who is with Jamie: since we skipped over these logistics. Here's what I think: Hamil, Lodwyn (2 or 3 friars? any others?) Ellory, Damilon, Carillo, Mugwort, Udon. songbirds: Ogmund, Vestein, Linna, and Jorunn (both half elves). Goshawk. Didier. (with Skaga coming on River)
