Dug begins to search the room for anything else he might be able to use other than the metal rod. Finding nothing he hefts the rod and looks down the south passage. Ready and willing to bash as always.

Move to the square south west of "K" to look down the south passage.
Secure Rolls:
Dug perception 1d20(5)-2 = 3

As Warryn moves east, he can see deeper down that passage way. It continues as far as your sword light carries (how close to the entrance did you go?)

Also as Warryn moves, the light recipically highlights the passage to the south extending the veiw of the western part of the inverted "T" junction by at least another 5 feet. (again, not sure if you actually entered the passage way or are still in the rooms.

Dug, still not at 100% mental faculty yet, or maybe that's just the norm for his kind.. (what's that 4-5 missed checks in a row now.. hehe) is glad he just hasn't stepped on someone yet.

OOc - Dug pratices and anchient art of trap finding .. if you walk into it and you go snap crackle or pop it was a trap otherwise all is safe :)

Aelonn stirs the spider bits around with his sword a bit just to see what might happen.

Assuming nothing does, he follows Catra to the southern tunnel to check on the shadowy forms that appeared to move there.
Secure Rolls:
Perception 1 (spider bits) 1d20(13)+5 = 18
Perception 2 (south tunnel) 1d20(7)+5 = 12

Just spider bits. Some look like they've been biten or gnawed on. There are some live spiders in the webs above you, but they're not bothering anyone... and they are the same size (apparently) as the ones on the cot.

As Aelonn sticks his head into the southern tunnel entrance to take a quick peek.

He looks west first (since that is the most lit way) then East. West goes past the sword light at least 15 ft. Possible side passage or room beyond.

East: goes about 10ft and ends or bends. too dark.

The passageways are still the 5ft. round rough hewn cut tunnels. (single file, so will need to know who goes in first.) No sounds, smells, lights.

After his quick peek, he pulls his head back in.

Catra shrugs. "With today's luck? Whichever way we don't go. Besides, we need to find the missing kids. Rescue first, then beer.

She motions to Warryn. "Hey, mageboy, follow me so I don't fall into a hole, okay? Assuming he does, she steps into the tunnel and heads west.

Warryn takes a quick look down the East passage then heads over to Catra. He follows her closely making sure to give her plenty of light.

"While I do shape the same arcane energy as a wizard," he says softly, "I am a Bladesinger. Comparing my art with a wizard is like comparing a master sculptor to a bricklayer."

hmmm. 150 xp divided by 9...
You meddling PCs. You went and killed the skulk that was already injured and 1/2 dead....so 75xp divided by 9 ... (Injured by Dug when they locked him up and tried to get him into the chains. Hurt, he had to hide when he heard you coming down the stairs. He was content to let you all leave so he could escape.. but NO..you had to kill him.

..too bad Dug was too groggy to remember anything about being drugged and dragged down here...). so ..


25xp each for NOT killing Dug and killing the Skulk.

GM BEHIND THE SCENES: no, the purpose of this skulk was to deliver a message and a key. You have the key, but did you get the message?

Warryn goes to the entrance of the east tunnel and peers through. It goes straight east for 20ft to the end of his light. As he returns to rebuke and follow Catra toward the south, his light is able to expose more of the tunnel there.

Catra moves through the south tunnel entrance and stands at the "T" and moves as step west. Aelonn lets her pass and then follows taking a step East.

Warryn, not wanting to be stuck behind dug, sneaks past and stands at the "T"

Dug swings his iron bar one last time, puts it over his shoulder and follows the family. He barely fits as he has to hunch over and almost get onto all fours to make it through the hole.

Kelzanarr follows Dug, but covers the east hole for now giving Dug a while to situate himself.

The kobold skulks around in the back of the party near his protectee.

Chad, Not sure if Chad made it. He may be on the otherside of the door.

Catra, looks like you're close enough to see another side passage going south 5ft. in front of you on your left. It is still round and 5ft diameter.

Catra, as you look south, the tunnel continues 15ft or so and then opens up. Past that going further south you see some dim and flickering lights floating in the air. (cycle time is about 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off. there's 2 lights you can see, but the glow of a few more you can't see directly) As they go on and off, they seem to highlight what looks like dark/black giants standing at attention. The lights gives a sense of depth and the impression of a wider cavern or room but since they go on and off at different times and speeds, it's hard to guage the distance/length of the area.

Warryn continues following Catra closely. As he does so, he takes a moment to look closely at the walls of the crude passage. But learns little from what he sees.
