Taking the others lead, Narl followed closely fearing he would get lost in the crowd. Pushing his way through in a slight frantic not caring who he might knock over.

You traverse the crowded streets effortlessly, though you have the nagging feeling that there are eyes upon you.
One of your party keeps looking over his shoulder as if having spotted something.
Orrica is a very dense city with buildings made from polycarbonate materials that lend it a sterile feeling. The streets dip into a wide valley, revealing miles of manufactorums and industrial slums. Wooded ridges encircle the city out in the distance. The buildings on them look more bucolic, some of them glinting with wide glass windows and brass tinted accents. The Basilica is impossible to miss. It towers over the city: an icon of Imperial authority. At the very top of its ornate spires, a giant Aquila sits aloft, possibly twenty stories in width.

There are no abhumans among the street folk. Hoards of people in hazard suits walk to and fro, whether emerging from their shift or going to one. Arbitrators can occasionally be seen at street corners, wearing full bodied riot gear and carrying nuero maces. At one point, you encounter a procession of richer folk, all of them dressed in fine walking coats that are of Scintillan fashion. Their esoteric implants seem frivolous, perhaps even non-functional when you think of the tech priests aboard the ship. From somewhere in the city, prayers are being sung in High Gothic over a voxcaster. Orrica is an Imperial City, that much is certain, but you feel exposed somehow. It is sometime before you reach the center of city and the central gates that will allow you into the administrative section where both the Consulate Building and the Basilica await.

At the gates Markus stopps and waits a econd for the other too notice and join him. He looks around for someone to speak to about going through the gates. Or better yet a weak point he can slip through undetechted.

The gates are heavily fortified and look as though they could weather a sizable assault. However, you cannot see anyone patrolling. There are no guards standing around.
Calxis, you notice something dark splattered against one of the walls near the ground. There appears to be a human tooth lying there.

The crowd suddenly begins to clear. Pedestrians melt away into alleyways and side streets while a few cluster up within doorways and begin smoking chem-sticks, watching intently.
(The streets at the gates form a three-way intersection with shops and tenements lining the sides). Guardsmen come marching down from all directions, shoving civilians aside, their lasguns at hip level. Their gazes are focused unmistakably on your party.
The arco flagellant stands in the middle of the street, looking nonplussed at the sudden lack of crowd. The tolling of faraway bells and the bootsteps of the guardsman form a melancholy ambiance.
