I was wondering if it is possible to use an image I have as the background for the mapping module. The only way I can think to do it right now is to create however many tiles out of the image and individually add them.

I think that is wasteful as far as time goes and was wondering if it is possible to just overlay the grid on the image?

I just figured it out.

If you go to User Options and upload a picture file with the tile dimensions you need, then you can import it as the background tile and it auto-fills the tile grid.

i.e. I uploaded a background with a 9x11 dimension and then was able to use that as the background.

Yes, kinda...

Figure out the size of your image in pixels and divide that by thirty. Use those dimensions for the height and width, and upload it as a tile from your User Options page. You will then have a massively sized tile that you can stamp onto a map to use as a background image.

A word of caution: The site tends to stall if you upload a tile bigger than about 20 x 20 as behind the scenes it takes your image and breaks it up into 30x30 pixel individual "tiles".

A more convenient method of using a background image for a map is on my to-do list.

Can a map be associated from another game? And if so what is the information necessary to accomplish in the map box.
