so far we have 4 players

jasonco has a changeling assassin (striker)
sammich has a human artificer (leader)
13thmortimer has a teifling warden (defender)

Lord lut is joining us as a teifling warlock (striker) the group needs a controller to cover all the roles

If it comes down to it, one of us could roll up a second character (I've had my eye on a Druid build...)

If it remains a possibility, I was thinking about a winter wolf-style Druid, with frosty powers and a wolf predator form. Not entirely sure what race, but probably an Elf or a similar Fey creature.

Oh, in a different direction, cooney HAD posted in the Scales of War to see if he was still accepting characters - maybe he'd want in? He seems to run a lot, lord knows this site is a lovely break for me (stupid RL friends not wanting to DM...)

Okay, the druid is built if we need him. He's kind of a crazy bastard who spends as much time in his wolf form as he does his normal shifter form (oh, yeah, razorclaw shifter). He's also stealthy as hell, and loves just ripping it up.

Ok, so the current party set up is as follows:

Changeling Assassin (Striker)
Human Artificer (Leader)
Tiefling Swordmage (Defender)
Tiefling Warlock (Striker)
Shifter Druid (Controller)
Elf Ranger (Striker)

So 3 Strikers, 1 Leader, 1 Defender, 1 Controller.

And if you factor in our Defenders propensity for fullblades and our Controllers wolf form... You pretty much end up with 2 other Half-Strikers. haha

Safe to say, I think we'll be in good shape. My biggest concern now is hoping things live long enough for my Assassin to actually put shrouds on them! lol

I've been reading the Druid powers, and oh man, I am LOVING how they're constructed. Seriously, I get to be constantly shifting form, pulling out long-ranged zones and effects, then back to beasty form to shred at close range, STILL doing fun effects.

Between him and all the joy of a clockwork-centric Artificer, combat is going to get really confusing ^.^

That's one of the reasons I think I enjoy the Assassin. Other then them being combat centric Shadow Dancers I mean..

They can be played very simply. You pick a target, put shrouds on them, then butcher them.

Clean, easy, efficient. :-)

Khepera's brother has expressed an interest in playing with us, and Nezumi said it'd be ok.

He's up for playing any class/role. So the question now is, what do we all think we need?

Zane and Rime have controlling down I think.

Mjor and Zane are doing well 9so far) with being the Leaders.

Me and Adolan are doing ok as strikers. More DPR is always great, but might be unessasary. Especially since Dev can carry his weight with damage most of the time.

That just leaves Devaloki and the Defender role. While Mjor has a lot of 'defender' aspects to his class, he can't mark.

So my vote is a sticky-er defender. A Fighter Perhaps?

Another tanker would be nice when I get downed or disabled actually. But another DPR would be nice as well. However I do think another tough-as-shit class would be extremely useful.

I am going to have to say I will only accept a defender character to be honest, a party this size needs another one
do you want to know where their dreams come from? some showed the faith and some showed none

Ok, I had a feeling we'd need a defender. Just though I'd open it up to see what everyone was thinking. haha. I'll let him know.
