After the collapse of the last great empire, nearly eight hundred years ago, the world has sunk into a dark age--knowledge has been lost, whole cities abandoned, and petty robber barons fight over the scraps. But for the enterprising individual, one of those desperate enough to seek out dangerous paths, there are always opportunities for quick wealth and power. Lurking along the paths, death awaits the unwary.
The game will run like a classic swords and sorcery fantasy style Oed D&D game, where most decisions will center around your desire to survive vs. your desire for wealth and power. It will use Swords and Wizardry rules as a base with some DIY home-brew.
This game is always recruiting, open for players to join.
There are four classes available, and players may choose to be any class: Fighter, Magic-user, Divine, and Rogue.
You may flavor those classes any way you wish. (Example: A fighter who lives in the forest and is good with animals, Magic-User who's focused on finding spells that manipulate life energies, a Divine who follows the whispers of her ancestors, or a rogue who works for a religious organization)
Races allowed: Currently humans only. (But that doesn't mean you can't be an exceptionally tall thin human with pointed ears who lives in the forest or a short, stout human from a mining community.)
Don't worry too much about background--think of your first few levels as playing out your background. In general, you are either down on your luck or slumming it, because no sane, normal person does what you're about to do.
Stats will be rolled in post, so if you want to join--just type in a name and submit it. Then follow the Character Creation guide to making your character.
